MegaScenery
Northern California gives you the same massive area for night flying too!
MegaScenery Technology enables us to give you anything that no other
photorealistic scenery gives you – and that’s a complete night VFR flying
experience. Fly the same entire massive area at night with MegaScenery’s
night scenery. Our technology maps virtually every street and terrain type
in the area and applies night lighting for the most amazing night flying
experience you’ll ever experience on a PC flight simulator. Flying over
San Francisco at night will literally make chills run down your spine
(that’s what other users have told us). Everyone knows the experience of
flying over a city at night gives as a passenger in a jet. See for
yourself how MegaScenery replicates that. Not only over San Francisco but
over the entire area covered by MegaScenery.
You’re almost done but let’s put our words into action and let you see for
yourself some of the amazing screenshots taken from MegaScenery Northern
California...
Explore San Francisco – the city by the bay – and So Much More!
Famous for a lot of things – The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, the San
Andreas Fault, San Francisco Bay, Montara Mountains, and too many other
things to mention – you get to soar the skies above all of San Francisco,
Oakland, San Jose, Hayward, Fremont, Berkeley, Vallejo, Concord and
everything else in the metropolitan San Francisco area. Three busy
international airports within 20 miles of each other – SFO, OAK and San
Jose make for some busy skies and busy airspace and you’ll now get to be
part of this busy terminal area weather it’s in your Cessna 172, Lear 45
or 737. You’ll get an uncanny feeling of realism and that you’re actually
there – that uncanny realism that MegaScenery is famous for.
One of the coolest things that you’ve never been able to do is to fly over
and see the San Andreas Rift Zone (San Andreas Fault) just as it is!
Sacramento
Leaving the city towards the north-east has you enroute to California’s
capital city – Sacramento located in California’s Sacramento Valley rich
in flat green farmland. As you pass over the top of Concord when leaving
the city, you’ll see Mt Diablo – famous for hang gliding - to the south
east. But Mt Diablo is not all you’ll see. You’re now navigating map to
ground and seeing EVERYTHING you would from your aircraft in real life.
Can you identify every road, river and hill? The hills and mountains in
this part of the world are surprising for non locals – you’d expect lush
green mountainsides wouldn’t you?
Sierra Nevada
Passing over the top of Sacramento you’ll see and can explore the western
edge of the Sierra Nevada's and Eldorado National Forest. Turning west
takes you back towards the coastal range north of San Francisco. See
landscape change dramatically from flat farmland to moderately mountainous
terrain.
Lush Green Terrain To The West
Pass over huge Monticello Dam and continue west towards the coast and as
you follow it south back towards San Francisco, you’ll see just how
remarkably diverse this terrain is as the lush green coastal mountains
fill your view as you trek south. And the detail of your mountains by the
way is impeccable as the scenery is draped over high resolution 30 meter
elevation mesh.
Again – everything you see is as you’ll see in real life. You’re flying
over Northern California – in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The Area Covered is TRULY Mega!
That short description of the area that you just read is about only 1/3 of
the area you’ll get to explore in this Mega Flight Simulator Scenery
add-on. Your world extends all the way south to Monterey Bay and inland
100 or so miles east of Monterey. Other areas you’ll see include: the
Diablo Mountain Range, Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Cruz, Central Valley
including cities of Merced, Modesto, Stockton and more! The terrain is
spectacular, diverse and from your flight simulator skies… simply
breathtaking, awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping. We know – strong language, but
that doesn’t even describe the realism you’ll experience as you fly this
area.
And that’s just daytime Flying! |

Flight Simmer's It Is Also An Essential Tool For Real Pilots Flying In The
Area! |
MegaScenery
Northern California is created for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 -
primarily marketed as an entertainment product however many thousands of
actual pilots have used Microsoft Flight Simulator as a training tool or a
tool to help keep your eye in. More and more actual pilots are doing it
every day. If you are a licensed or training pilot (PPL, CPL or ATPL) this
product is of incredible value in becoming familiar with the New York
area. If you're a PPL doing Navigation training nothing could serve better
as a tool to complement your training. Practice flight planning and then
navigating your flight before your actual navigation exercise. Whatever
your pilot rating, from PPL through to ATPL, this product will help your
ops in the San Francisco area - both VFR & IFR.

MegaScenery
generally speaking does not slow down your FS2004 framerate performance.
It is handled just like FS2004 scenery textures. These are however are our
suggested systems.
Requires Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight or Microsoft
Flight Simulator 2002. MegaScenery is optimized for both versions. If both
versions of Flight Simulator are installed on your system MegaScenery's
smart installer will install just one copy of MegaScenery and will
automatically install and optimize for both versions of Flight Simulator.
This New York title enables you to fly in all 4 seasons and is not
confined only to Summer. This feature is available on any Windows system
with NTFS file system (usually XP HOME/Professional and 2000. If you are
running Windows 98/Me with FAT32 file system or Windows XP with FAT32 file
system you will still be able to fly MegaScenery New York but you will
only be able to see MegaScenery if you have your season set to Summer or
Winter. You will not see MegaScenery if you have your season set to Fall
or Spring.
